Today we had some breakfast and got back on the road, this time we were headed to Roma. As we were heading out of Carnarvon Gorge we saw some Emus and even had to stop on the highway so a mummy Emu and her two babies could safely get across the road - it was very cute!!
We stopped in the town of Injune to use the facilities and check out their interesting looking visitor centre, There was also a great little cafe next to the visitor centre where we grabbed a morning snack (yum) before jumping back in the car to continue the adventure.
We arrived in Roma about lunchtime and headed straight for the only natural "Big Thing" on our list which was the Big Bottle Tree. It was super hot in Roma (about 38 degrees) but we had a few more "Big Things" to tick off before we could think about having some lunch and checking into our motel for the night.
We saw the Big nut and bolt and also visited the Big Rig, which seems like pretty thinly veiled propaganda to promote the coal seam gas industry. They have a night show if you are looking for something to do later on in the day.
After we had visited the big things we headed to the Roma bush gardens to enjoy a picnic lunch and feed the ducks before deciding it was too hot to stay outside much longer and heading to our motel to enjoy some air-con.
We watched some movies until it cooled down and then ventured out into the main street to find ourselves some dinner. There wasn't too much happening in town, so we went back to the motel pretty early and watched another movie.
